Chequers taken over by Marlborough Tavern Team

Joe Cussens and Justin Sleath, who transformed the Marlborough Tavern four years ago from quite an ordinary pub to an interesting and popular dining experience have bought and reopened the The Chequers Pub in Rivers Street in partnership with Head Chef Leigh Evans.

The Chequers will run over two floors. The ground floor will be serving food and drinks in a relaxed pub atmosphere, whilst the first floor will provide more refined dining.
